Anglers do their bit for the environment

 

British Angling Clubs are chipping in to declare war on the mountain of litter and debris building up in rivers and tributaries.

 

Charity initiative ‘Treasure Your River’ aims to remove 90 tons of rubbish from some of the UK’s biggest rivers including the Thames, Mersey and Severn. They are reaching out to local clubs and organisations for their help.

 

Rubbish often makes it’s way into the ocean via rivers. So if it can be removed from rivers sooner it is all the better for any and all of the places it could start at or end up.
